“We all rely on water: animals, birds, fish, plants, trees and us. Water is one of the most precious resources on the planet and unfortunately we do not realize it’s importance until it’s in short supply or gone. Our ancestors paddled, harvested and drank the water in our homelands and did their part to protect water sources from pollution and over-consumption. Let’s do our part for future generations.” - Deputy Grand Chief Derek Fox
