To improve the mental, spiritual, emotional, physical and environmental well being of the membership in consultation with First Nations;
To promote improvement in health care services available to the people of
To promote self-government in health within the Nishnawbe Aski Nation;
To ensure respect and dignity is upheld through the provision of culturally sensitive health service delivery and personnel; and
To provide a forum for the expression of needs concerns and ideas of Nishnawbe Aski Youth, women, families, Elders and leaders.

We are experimenting with the social networking offered through mediums like the Internet. We have created a blog in order to keep all those who have a vested an interest in the health and well-being of NAN communities informed and up to date with the latest news and events.

We have a newly created website for the Aboriginal Health Human Resources Initiative and the Indian and Inuit Health Careers Program. These programs focus on the HHR Planning, Retention and Promotion of Health Careers in the NAN communities.
