Lands & Resources
The overall goal of Lands and Resources is to strengthen the First Nations of NAN in resource and economic development by providing technical advice and advocacy in the area of Aboriginal and Treaty Rights.
The department plays a role in reviewing, researching, analyzing and responding to policy initiatives that come down from various federal and provincial Ministries and coordinates information exchange for the NAN First Nations.
Some of the areas we cover include regional, national and international forestry issues, environment, policy development in lands and resources, mining, water and parks.
