RCMP REPORT SHOWS NEED FOR NATIONAL INQUIRY INTO MISSING AND MURDERED ABORIGINAL WOMEN

OTTAWA (May16, 2014): Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) Deputy Grand Chief Alvin Fiddler says the report released today by the Royal Canadian mounted Police (RCMP) documenting nearly 1,200 murdered and missing Aboriginal women is a positive step to uncovering the full extent of this violence and shows the need for a comprehensive national inquiry.
