Research and Policy Coordinator

The Research and Policy Coordinator is responsible for assisting and suporting the Director of Governance and Treaty Implementation, in the performance of his/her functions and duties as it relates to the Governance Negotiations, Treaty Table Discussions, Specific Claims, land Rights, Treaty & Aboriginal Rights and Intergovernmental related activities. Women's Policy Analyst

Nishnawbe Aski Nation is seeking a Women's Policy Analyst position to join their Social Development Department. this position will be responsible for policy research, analysis and development of the long-term strategic plan of Women's issues. This position requires strong knowledge of gender based issues, provincial and federal legislation, along with an advanced understanding of provincial and national policies. Youth Initiatives Coordinator

The Youth Initiatives Coordinator is responsible to support the Oshkaatisk Youth Council objectives along with NAN Youth programs by providing opportunities to promote protective factors, encourage and support youth empowerment and engagement and to reduce risk factors. Cultural Health Support Officer

The Cultural Health Support Officer (CHSO) will plan, organize and deliver educational workshops regarding the legacy of Indian Residential Schools (IRS). The CHSO will have extensive knowledge and experience of traditional cultural practices and be able to provide culturally appropriate support to IRS survivors, intergenerational survivors and any persons in NAN territory adversely affected by Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG).

Child Development Coordinator

The Child Development Coordinator assists in the coordination of a NAN regional Autism/FASD strategy including facilitationg the strategic planning, development and evaluation of the strategy in collaboration with NAN Regional Mamou Sakinicinitoonanoowan Network, First Nations, First Nation agencies. A key factor of this role includes community capacity development to assist families and communities to gain better understanding  and skills to assist persons with ASD/FASD in all aspects of family and community life.
