NAN TO ADDRESS JURY ISSUE IN LANDMARK SUPREME COURT CASE

THUNDER BAY (October 3, 2014): Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) looks forward to the country’s highest court addressing one aspect of the crisis created by the Government of Ontario with respect to the alienation of First Nations from the justice system, as the landmark case R. v. Kokopenace on the underrepresentation of First Nation people on jury rolls will be heard by the Supreme Court of Canada next week.
